* Important Notice *

Every year, we look forward to celebrating our top Youth Award recipients at the National ceremony. In light of the growing concerns around COVID-19, we have made the responsible decision to suspend the National ceremony planned for March 18th-20th, 2020 in Houston, TX. Your health and that of the awardees and their families is important to us and we want to make sure we are responsible in making it our priority during these times.

The National Youth Awards is an important event for the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and it is one of our favorite ways to celebrate our youth’s accomplishments.  We are planning other ways for our community to get together to celebrate these students in the future, once things are looking more optimistic.

We will share additional details on our plans in the coming weeks. In the meantime, thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to staying in touch, as we decide what the next steps will be.

Thank you for your understanding,
-The Youth Awards Team
It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 20th Annual National Youth Awards Ceremony on
Friday, March 20th, 2020
9 AM - 12 PM

BP Headquarters
201 Helios Way, Houston, TX 77079
For 21 consecutive years, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation's Youth Awards program has honored Latino high school seniors across the country. Recipients are selected for their accomplishments in the classroom, community, and for their excellence in various educational categories including: Business & Entrepreneurship, Community Service, Education, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Technology & Engineering.

The 2019 recipients were celebrated in 10 regional ceremonies across the country including: Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Northern California
, Phoenix, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C.

A record-breaking number of applicants this past year intensified the selection of regional and national Youth Awardees. Of 13,000 applicants, only 162 applicants were selected as regional Youth Awardees, and from this pool of recipients only 8 recipients have been selected as National Youth Awardees.

Meet the 2019 National Youth Awardees here.

This year's national Youth Awards ceremony will be held at BP Headquarters in Houston, TX. All eight national Youth Awardees and their parents will receive an all-expense paid trip to Houston, TX for the celebration. We will also honor a celebrity with the Inspira Award, for serving as a role model in the public eye. In addition, we will also honor a parent for their contributions to his/her kid’s education. Vme TV will tape and broadcast a television and online special featuring the ceremony.

As a continuum, vetted applicants and recipients of the Youth Awards are funneled into the award-winning LOFT (Latinos On Fast Track) Network  and are connected to our broader network of over 150,000 students and professionals. Our resources include over 100 trainings, workshops, summits, programs and informal Charlas hosted across the country every year! Hundreds of students and professionals are placed into internships, mentorships, fellowships and full-time positions with Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.
